Electrotherm E-bike
Electrotherm India, which produces the YO BIKE series of electric bikes and scooters, is planning on introducing yet another model - a 1000 Watt version of the Ebike (that’s 250 more Watts than the YO Speed delivers.)
Avinash Bhandari, the Director of Electrotherm India, stated that the company prefers to modify their existing models (by adding more power) rather than departing from what they know works.
Electrotherm has sold around 10,000 e-bikes in less than a year, and are expectant that business will really take off in the upcoming decade.
Electrotherm also plans to export these bikes. They will start out by testing the markets in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Volvo Bus INDIAVolvo Bus India, a fully-owned subsidiary of Sweden’s Volvo Bus Co., has declared a launch of 9400 6×2 B9R luxury bus in Indian market. Multi-axle configuration Volvo B9R arrives in 6×2 configuration, with powerful, 9L rear-mounted engine. With the price tag of Rs. 85 lakh, the bus is being made at the Hoskote, Karnataka.The 13.7 meter long coach can hold 53 re-clined seats, and with the high level of travel comfort and the fuel efficiency of B9R, the company expects the bus will perform very perfectly on long, intercity roads in country. The high tech Volvo 9400 6×2 B9R features e-controlled suspension, the disc brakes and on-board computer keeping the checks on different vehicle functions.

And now, the Volvo’s bus bodies are being manufactured by Volvo Bus Body Technologies India, where Volvo occupied 70 percent and Jaico Auto holds 30%. But the ultra-cheap, ultra-compact Nano comes with no frills. It runs on a 623-cc 2-cylinder engine with about 30 horsepower. Power steering and power brakes are optional on the base model. Airbags, antilock brakes and even a radio aren’t available at all.

Also, for the first time in North America, these premium compact cars will be available with a diesel engine. The 3-Series offers 2-door coupes and convertibles, as well as 4-door sedans and wagons. Convertibles have a power-retractable hard top. The 2009 3-Series model lineup consists of the following: entry-level 328, mid-line 335, and high-performance M3. Depending on body style, the 328i is available with rear-wheel drive or with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive. It's powered by a 230-hp 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine. Also depending on body style, the 335i is available with rear- or AWD. Those models are powered by a turbocharged 300-hp version of the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder. New for 2009 is the rear-drive 335d. It has a 265-hp 3.0-liter turbodiesel 6-cylinder that is emissions legal in all 50 states. M3 models use a 414-hp 4.0-liter V8. All 2009 BMW 3-Series gasoline engines are available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Available on the 328i and 335i and standard on the 335d is a 6-speed automatic. The M3 is available with a 7-speed automatic. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, and front side airbags. Head-protecting tubular side airbags that cover both seating rows are standard on all but convertibles. Standard on convertibles are rollover bars designed to deploy from the rear headrests if sensors detect an impending tip.Cars with the optional navigation system get BMW's iDrive that uses a console knob to control entertainment, navigation, communication, and other functions. Other available features include steering-linked xenon headlights, BMW's Active Steering that quickens steering response at low speeds, front- and rear- obstacle detection, adaptive cruise control, and BMW Assist service with a wireless cell phone link.
